Belmont Supports Townsville Flood Relief

Over 15 colleagues at our sister hospital; Townsville Private Clinic have been directly impacted by the recent floods that have engulfed the north Queensland coast.

A very active monsoon trough and a slow-moving tropical low has created an unprecedented rainfall event, which is far from over.

Receiving a year's worth of rainfall in nine days, thousands of homes have been inundated by rising flood waters. Over 20,000 Townsville residents have since been evacuated with over 15 colleagues from our sister hospital; Townsville Private Clinic directly affected by the ‘once-in-a-century’ weather event.

Proudly delivering quality integrated private healthcare services to Townsville and the wider North Queensland community, Townsville Private Clinic is the only private mental health service located in the CBD.

In an effort to provide financial assistance to our northern neighbours and those directly affected, Belmont Private Hospital has initiated a flood relief raffle to help support Townsville and the wider community during this very difficult time.

We are currently working with a number of local Brisbane businesses such as Carindale IGA, Three Fat Butchers and a Farmer, Subway Australia, Dominos Pizza Carindale, BWS and Westfield Carindale to raise the much needed funds for a cause that has hit close to home for many Healthe Care friends and family.

Thank you in advance to the businesses who have generously donated money and contributed prizes for this very worthy cause. Your kindness and support is very much appreciated. Stay tuned to see how much we raise for our friends up north!
