Queen's Birthday Honours List 2020
Belmont Private Hospital's consultant psychiatrist; Dr Lyndall White has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant service to medicine, psychiatry and perinatal and infant mental health.
On 8 June 2020, the Governor-General announced the Queen’s Birthday 2020 Honours List, recognising 933 Australians and their invaluable contributions to their community and Australia.
Included in the list are:
- 710 recipients of awards in the General Division of the Order of Australia (3 AC, 50 AO, 200 AM and 457 OAM)
- 28 recipients of awards in the Military Division of the Order of Australia (3 AO, 12 AM and 13 OAM); and
- 128 meritorious awards.
“In this list we see all the positives that are in our community – we see the great ideas, we see the hard-work, we see the love and compassion for fellow human beings – it’s a microcosm of Australia,” the Governor-General said.
It gives us great pleasure to advise our consultant psychiatrist; Dr Lyndall White received an Australian Medal Award for her significant service to medicine, psychiatry and to perinatal and infant mental health.
Dr Lyndall White (President Marce Society Australasian Chapter , MBBS , RANZCP) is a consultant psychiatrist in private practice at Belmont Private Hospital. She has a special interest in perinatal mental health and education, and is a member of the Reference Group for the Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health.
Dr White is also the chair of the Special Interest Group in Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry of the Queensland Branch Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
