Belmont Private Buddy's Up Against Bullying

March 18 is the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA). To show our support, we visited St John Vianney Catholic primary school, donating our next 'Buddy Bench’ to promote inclusivity and friendship in schools.

Over 75% of mental health issues occur before the age of 25.

At Belmont Private Hospital we believe in supporting our local school communities with activities that proactively engage and promote positive connections with mental health.

We can all help to prevent and respond to bullying.

In an effort to cultivate kindness and put a stop to schoolyard bullying, Belmont Private Hospital's 'Buddy Bench' schools project helps to provide a safe space for children who are lonely or in need of support in the schoolyard.

It is our intention that St John Vianney Catholic primary school's Buddy Bench will help students develop fundamental emotional skills they can carry throughout their educational journey and life

In 2021, Belmont Private Hospital along with 10 other private hospitals in the Aurora Healthcare group portfolio gifted 20 ‘Buddy Benches’ to primary schools across Australia.

We look forward to continuing to help support our school communities in 2022. Join us as we help raise awareness and create positive change for students, staff and the greater community.

If you are concerned about a young person experiencing bullying, we have an experienced team of health professionals who can assist you.
