Professional background
Anna is a Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with adults in her private practice, alongside her Senior Clinical Psychologist role with Queensland Health. She is a graduate of the University of Queensland with clinical experience in community, hospital, university, and research settings. Across these settings, she has supported clients across the lifespan experiencing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, chronic health conditions, and life transition and adjustment difficulties.
Anna approaches her therapeutic work with compassion, authenticity, and a collaborative spirit. As an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia, she is particularly interested in this evidence-based therapy. She also draws from other evidence-based therapies such as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as appropriate to individual needs and goals.
