Dr Renan Ennes Avila

Dr Renan Ennes Avila completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland and his specialist training in psychiatry at a major hospital in Brisbane. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), with extensive experience in treating mood disorders, psychoses, and other mental health conditions. 

His approach is rooted in attentive listening and respect for each individual’s unique experience of suffering. Dr Avila provides inpatient and outpatient services and works closely with GPs, families, and mental health professionals at Belmont. His practice is informed by his interest in Lacanian psychoanalysis and a commitment to further exploring how language shapes human experience.
