Professor Saddichha Sahoo

Prof Saddichha Sahoo is a Brisbane-based Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive clinical, academic and research experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a broad range of mental health conditions. He provides comprehensive psychiatric care for adolescents and adults aged 15–65 years, with a particular focus on depression, anxiety, mood disorders and complex mental health presentations.

Prof Sahoo has specialist accreditation in Addiction Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). His areas of special interest include substance use and dependence disorders, Indigenous mental health, and the management of complex psychiatric conditions.

His clinical experience includes working as a Consultant Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health in Canada, where he developed a particular interest in Indigenous mental health. He has also held appointments with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, the University of Queensland and Queensland Health, contributing to his extensive experience across clinical practice, research, medical education and healthcare.

Prof Sahoo is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and an Honorary Professorship. He combines his strong academic background with a compassionate, evidence-based approach to psychiatric care, providing individualised assessment and treatment tailored to each patient's needs.
