Belmont Private Hospital is proud to partner with Screen Sanity to bring their highly acclaimed Screen Sanity Parent Workshop to all patients and staff for a special Mental Health Week Community Event. Screen Sanity Australia is a not-for-profit Brisbane based organisation whose workshops raise awareness about healthy technology use and provides families with actionable tools and resources to support parents and children’s mental health by creating digital health plans and family values.
If you are concerned about the use of screens and social media in your family, or you want to get ahead of it while your children are young, then the Screen Sanity Workshop can help.
This Community Event is open to all patients and staff, including family and friends. (As this is not a Belmont based program you do not need to be seeing a psychiatrist here to attend).
Suitable for parents with children of all ages. Scan the QR code on the flyer to book.
During the 3 hour workshop, the Screen Sanity facilitators will take you through a guided discussion covering today's most pressing screen related topics. The presentation will include mental health professionals, and experts in the field of digital wellness via video presentation. The program will include informative sessions, interactive discussions, and practical exercises to ensure your concerns are addressed and knowledge gained. Walk away armed with the tools, knowledge and confidence to create your family's digital health plan!
Each ticket includes a Screen Sanity Workbook, which each attendee can take away and use as a resource-rich reference tool to help navigate future digital health stages with confidence.
More about the event:
Queensland Mental Health Week provides an opportunity to raise community awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing and reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions. The theme for 2023 is ‘Awareness, Belonging, Connection’, which reflects the important factors that help people maintain positive mental health and wellbeing.
This special event will help raise awareness about the impact of excessive screen time on mental health, provide practical strategies for maintaining a healthy digital lifestyle, and promote overall well-being among the attendees.
This Community Event is open to all patients and staff, including family and friends.
