Day Programs
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
This program is and based on the principle of accepting what is out of your control, while committing to action to enrich your life. It aims help you learn to handle painful thoughts and feelings, so that they have less impact on you and your decisions. You also learn to clarify what is truly important and meaningful, to you.
Applied ACT
This follow up program allows you to focus on skills needed for topics that interest you, specific to your disorder. It provides you with ongoing support, and aims to help you better understand your difficulties their difficulties from an ACT perspective. You will gain a deeper understanding of the positive impact ACT skills can have on all aspects of your life.
Art
If you enjoy creative expression and art to work through emotional and psychological issues, this program is useful. You will find it easier to engage with others in more structured sessions. If you have art experience, more advanced techniques may be learned.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
This Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) program helps you to understand and change unhelpful thinking that may be negatively affecting your day-to-day life. CBT deals with the ‘here and now’ - how your current thoughts and behaviour affects you, now.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Masterclass
If you want to focus more intensely on specific CBT topics while maintaining ongoing support for yourself, you can join this program after attending our CBT day, evening or inpatient program with follow up. You will practice CBT skills, both in sessions and with homework exercises, to regularly start using these skills in everyday life.
Exercise for Mental Health
This program promotes healthy living and aims to help you integrate both psychological and physical recovery. You will discuss nutrition, diet, exercise, balanced lifestyle, motivation, goal setting and mindfulness.
Project Art
If you enjoy creative expression and want to improve your confidence using a variety of art materials, this program may benefit you. It is also useful if you are unsure of your creative abilities, but interested in trying structured art projects to experience creative self-expression for personal development, and to experience emotional and psychological issues.
Creative Therapies for Mood Disorders
This expressive arts program is less about skills and techniques but rather focuses on creativity as self-expression in a therapeutic space. Participants are guided through an experiential, reflective process to gain self-awareness and personal insight.
Psychological Injury
This program ensures a safe treatment setting, for people who have a psychological injury from the workplace. It teaches you the skills to help you live with your injury more effectively, understand its impact on you and others, as well as encouraging your return to work.
Successful Sleep
This is a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) based program to help people with sleep difficulties including chronic insomnia, interrupted sleep, sleep apnoea and related mental health conditions. You will keep sleep a sleep diary, to monitor your sleep for entire program, and track changes in you sleep after applying the skills you learn.
