Day Programs
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
This six-week program is based on the principle of accepting what is out of your personal control, while committing to taking action to enrich your life and make it more meaningful.
Applied ACT
This is for eligible patients who have completed the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) program. You will gain a deeper understanding of the positive impact ACT skills can have on all aspects of your life. The program focuses on putting skills into action while offering ongoing support.
Art
If you enjoy creative expression and art to work through emotional and psychological issues, this program is useful. You will find it easier to engage with others in more structured sessions. If you have art experience, more advanced techniques may be learned.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Our Brisbane Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program is for patients who suffer from depression, anxiety or stress. This DVA-approved program helps you identify, understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking which may negatively affect your life.
We offer this as a day program for eight weeks or as an evening program for six weeks.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Follow Up
This is for patients who have attended our CBT day or evening programs. The program focuses more intensely on specific topics of interest while offering ongoing support.
We offer this as a day, afternoon or evening program. You must attend one session each week, for four weeks.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Masterclass
If you want to focus more intensely on specific CBT topics while maintaining ongoing support for yourself, you can join this program after attending our CBT day, evening or inpatient program with follow up. You will practice CBT skills, both in sessions and with homework exercises, to regularly start using these skills in everyday life.
R.E.A.C.H.
This six-week program is for people living with depression or bipolar disorder. It is based on the principles of Responsibility, Education, Acceptance, Connection and Hope. The program, designed by the Black Dog Institute, aims to help you manage your illness and stay well.
Successful Sleep
This six-week group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-based program is for people with sleep difficulties or chronic insomnia. You will get practical help to learn strategies to address sleep issues.
