Aurora Healthcare is committed to raising community awareness about mental health, and educating health professionals about treatment options and referral pathways.
We regularly host information events for health professionals, with attendance certificates and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners' (RACGP) Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development (QI&CPD) points awarded.

Womens Mental Health Symposium
Join Dr Lyndall White as she explores critical women’s mental health topics such as perinatal mental health disorders, PMDD, perimenopausal, and menopausal mood disorders.
Dr White will provide a detailed presentation on patient management, including the use of hormone therapy and psychotropic medications.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe how mood, cognition and behaviour are significantly influenced by hormonal changes from menarche to menopause and beyond.
- Outline the aetiology and management of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) in general practice.
- Summarise an understanding of perimenopausal and menopausal mood disorders together with brain fog including management using hormone therapy and psychotropic medications.
- Identify management options for perinatal mood disorders.
