Welcome consultant psychiatrist; Dr Adem Can
Dr Adem Can MD, FRANZCP will be commencing in private practice and providing inpatient care at Belmont Private Hospital in 2022.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Dr Adem Can to our team of psychiatrists at Belmont Private Hospital.
Dr Adem Can MD, FRANZCP is particularly interested in early interventions, general adult psychiatry and defence services and treating mood disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, PTSD, addictive disorders and dual diagnosis care.
He provides Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), which is a proven and alternative novel model of treatment for treatment resistant depression.
After graduating from Medicine at Ankara University in 1997,Dr Can worked as a GP prior to migrating to Australia where he completed the Australian Medical Council exams in 2002, qualifying him as a General Registered Medical Practitioner. He completed his psychiatry training mainly on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
